How to take care of a knife

A beauiful collection of knives/swords must be taken care of properly in order for it to hold its valve.

To keep your blades in perfect shape, you will need to maintenance them several times a year. Unsheath the blade carefully and use a soft but clean cotton cloth to wipe down your blade. Then apply the appropriate polishing powder or other polishing substance carefully along the blade using the cloth rubbing it in carefully. Remove any powder or oil then re-sheath the blade.

Avoid touching the blade of any knife/sword with your fingers! The oil from your fingers can cause damage to many blades.

Proper maintenance and care for your collection is very important because a collection can be damaged from improper care or not enough care! Once pieces are damaged like for example, Vintage-pocket-knives, antique pocket knives or queen steel pocket knives, not only will the damage be unsightly, but the value of your collection will take a significant hit.

The easiest care for your collection i can think of is consider purchasing a blade care kit, which should have oil, polishing liquid or powder, special polishing papers or cloths and a care guide.

I recommend the care kit so you can keep your vintage-pocket-knives, antique pocket knives, case brand pocket knives, cutgo knives or any knife or sword collection you have to keep them looking brand spankin new!

Thanks for reading my post and i hope i've helped with how to take care of a knife.
